We partnered with Advantage Solutions to bring incredible augmented reality content to Walmart customers for the 2018 holidays, beginning with a Christmas Sleigh Ride activation and lots of in-store interactive festive fun.
Available in 1,000 Walmart locations, shoppers scanned codes via the Walmart app to unlock exclusive experiences featuring some of the world’s most iconic brands. Partners included the likes of Pepsico, Welsch’s, Kellogg's, Clorox, Nickelodeon, M&M's, Blue Bunny Ice Cream and 3M, who all signed up for the seasonal shopping celebration and brought their beloved mascots along for the (sleigh) ride.
We created a vast array of highly shareable augmented reality content, including festive face filters, Christmas-themed 3D animations and compelling mini-games that users could enjoy and post directly to social media. From hurling snowballs at Chester the Cheetah, to chasing the adorable Paw Patrol pups with your trolly and getting a tasty treat from the one and only Tony the Tiger, users thought this experience was grrrrrrrreat!
