Sony Music and Little Mix have teamed up with Zappar, leaders in augmented reality (AR), to bring fans exclusive content from their UK-wide 'Salute' Arena Tour.

The band will release a specially designed Access All Areas pass via their social media, which will include a zapcode.

Zapping the AAA pass with the free to download Zappar app will show an exclusive video of the girls explaining the different features. Users will then be able to stream a never-before-heard track, watch an exclusive video of the band's backing dancers to learn one of the dance moves from the tour or even "join the band" by posing for a picture with the girls.

Fans will also be able to view photos from backstage that will only be available to those with the AAA pass. These will update as the tour progresses to encourage repeat usage and engagement.

A secret appointment to view event will be teased through the app that fans can add to their calendar.

Genevieve Ampaduh, Head of Digital Marketing at Sony Music said, "All Little Mix fans want to know what goes on backstage... This piece of fan engagement offers them a window into the Little Mix world and ensures that they keep their connection with the girls even when they're away on tour".

Max Dawes, Partnerships Director at Zappar, added: "We're over the moon to be working with Sony Music again. One thing we always say to partners is to give users content that they can't get elsewhere. This is a great example of that with loads of exclusive features which we're sure the Little Mix fans will love!"
